finding your undertones for foundation

Hey loves Happy New Years and this year I will post more blogs since I’ve been slacking last year. I created a list of ways to help those who are still confused or need help finding/understanding your undertones for foundation selections. Undertones is the color that comes through underneath skin’s surface to affect the overall tonal quality.

Warm
Yellow, peachy, or golden undertones
Skin tans easily
Looks best in gold jewelry
Veins on underside of wrist appear green
Looks best in earth-tones: reds, oranges, yellows, and olive-greens

Neutral
Olive or a mix of warm and cool undertones
Skin tans well but may burn
Looks good in both gold and silver jewelry
Veins on underside of wrist appear blue/green

Cool
Pink, Red or Bluish undertones
Skin burns easily, rarely tans
Looks best in silver jewelry
Veins on underside of wrist appear blue/purple
Looks best in jewel-tones: blues, purples, and emerald-greens
